Oklahoma Burning…
By Frank | January 3, 2006
While the national news may lead you to believe that all of Oklahoma is ablaze, it isn’t. Some of our friends and family around the country are concerned…we’re very fortunate that none of our family or friends have been directly affected.

GOOD LUCK DANA!
By Steph | October 28, 2005
Tomorrow, our good friend, Dana Avery, will run in her first marathon, The Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, D.C. She is running for the Leukeima & Lymphoma Society’s “Team in Training”, to raise money for cancer research. Her motivation for choosing this particular organization is in honor of her father, Bill Seman, who was diagnosed a couple of years ago with cancer, but is now cancer free. We wish you the very best, and hope you SMOKE those marine guys!!
Love, Gef, Steph & the Girls

Hattiesburg Bices Update
By Frank | September 16, 2005
Rick and Beth are in their third day back in the office, after the lights went out on 8/29. Now it’s a matter of what to do first…….Things are almost back to normal at their house, except for a few trees down on the fence, or leaning near the house, etc.
Mom and Dad have had power and water now for about a week, I’d guess…..still no house phone. They’ve used up their cell plan minutes, but Dad told Mom to not worry about it, so she continues to reach out and touch us. They’re really looking forward to a visit next week from Gef, Steph, ‘Bella and Ainsley, in spite of the turmoil all around them….Rick says he doubts if you can stand anywhere in town and look around without seeing Katrina’s impact. There are about 20,000 ‘extra people’ there, so long lines and short tempers are the norm right now.
So, kudos to those who are still weathering the storm…..hang in there, folks. Thoughts and prayers are on the way!

Hattiesburg Bices
By Frank | September 1, 2005
We’ve talked with Mom and Dad, and Rick and Beth at various times throughout the events on the Gulf Coast. Physically they’re all fine, enduring the heat. They are without power and all that depends on power. Gasoline lines are sometimes a mile long. Ice is being rationed. Both have trees down on their property, but no serious damage to the homes. Even so, spirits are high and they look forward to returning to ‘normal living’.
